Worship

Back
Our morning worship services are held at 10.00 am in Bellie and 11.30 am in Speymouth. Refreshments are normally served in Bellie Church Hall after the Bellie service. A warm welcome is extended to all and we always look forward to meeting new people.

In Bellie Parish Church, musical accompaniment is provided by either our modern Allen organ or occasionally on our Yahama Clavinova. The Bellie Praise Group, an all-age vocal group from within the congregation, is also involved with various services from time to time, as are the Bellie Music Group, which comprises mainly teenagers.

Bellie Kirk Session

The Bellie Kirk Session prepares to celebrate Holy Communion in November 2008.

The Fochabers Fiddlers are occasionally involved with worship. This is normally at the Christmas Eve worship and Celtic Kirk service, which takes place annually in August in the Speyfest tented village.

Worship in Speymouth Parish Church is also lively and family orientated, with all hymns being accompanied by our new Allen organ.

Speymouth Kirk Session

The Speymouth Kirk Session welcomes Rev Alison Mehigan.

Hymns in both churches are mainly sourced from The Church Hymnary 4th Edition.

Holy Communion is celebrated four times per year at morning worship in both churches in February, April, September and November. Twice per year, afternoon Communion is offered in Speymouth Parish Church for those who find standing at long services difficult. Short evening Communion worship is also held in the sheltered housing complex at Milnescroft on the same days, to which anyone is invited.

Both churches have installed a 'loop' system for the benefit of the deaf and hard of hearing and have good disabled access. In addition, all Sunday morning services in both churches are recorded and CD recordings of services are circulated to housebound members on request to the Ministry Team.
